Daily Independent reports that a 43-year-old Joseph Uyamadu and 33-year-old Emanuel Umiano were apprehended by a combined force of narcotic suppression police and naval officers.
During a raid at the suspects’ rented house in Ban Kai district of Rayong province, the police officers found a large number of chemicals and materials used in producing drugs.
The raid followed a tipoff that foreigners used the tented house in the rubber plantation to produce drugs.
The suspects were in the house when the combined force encircled and raided the house. They did not struggle on arrest and surrendered as soon as Thai authorities came in.
The police officers seized an amount of cocaine being thrown into the flush tank, a bag containing black and sticky substance similar to raw opium, black sheets of substance, choric acid, electric grinder, a microwave oven, kerosene and two cars.
