Ekiti State PDP governor Ayodele Fayose is widely seen as one of the most vocal in the country, and his no-nonsense style is gaining him popularity in some quarters.
Fayose, on Friday arrested an operative of the Federal Road Safety Corps at Ikere Ekiti for flouting a traffic rule.
Fayose, who was flagging off the completion of the Ado-Ikere-Iju dualisation and the commissioning of the downtown market stall in the state, stopped his convoy at Oke–Ikere area of the town and ordered that the man be stopped and his car seized.
The road safety operative, who was identified as Mr Alabi , who was driving in his Peugeot 505 to Ikere Ekiti, driving on the left side of the road with the intention of dodging the dilapidated portion of the dual carriageway, which infuriated the governor who was on that rough portion of the road.
Recently the governor paid an unscheduled visit to civil servants in the state in a bid to catch latecomers. Per Second Newsgathered that the governor lurked-around the state secretariat to fish-out perpetual late comers.
