Nominees Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Dr. Osagie Ehanire from Edo State, Lt. General Abdulrahman Dambazau and Lai Mohammed were also screened yesterday.
When Senate President Bukola Saraki asked Lai Mohammed to introduce himself as shouts of ‘Bow and Go’ filled the air. Senate Leader Ndume moved that Lai Mohammed bows and go but Bukola Saraki asked that Senators allow him speak. In the end, Mr Mohammed ended up bowing almost six times.
Lai Mohammed said “I might have ruffled a few feathers in the course of my duties, it wasn’t personal. I believe four years is too small to stay in opposition, they might have to stay longer. It is service to be in opposition but its higher service to serve in Government”
Responding to his comments; Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio said; “If I know the Nominee #Lai well, he might have a propaganda to drop here”.
Lai Mohammed rounded up by saying: “My mission/vision if confirmed minister is; I’ll be passionate committed & patriotic as I was when I was in govt”.
Ex-UN official, Mrs Amina J. Mohammed dazzled a lot of Nigerians on social media yesterday with the way she intelligently answered her questions.
Amina Mohammed has just moved from GOOD TO GREAT. She’s just shown she was BUILT TO LAST. This is what a Formidable Woman is about People.
